LICENSING FOR ALARM COMPANIES
Licensing has finally come to Mississippi. Currently anybody, any criminal can
be in the alarm business with no regulations. All of that will change shortly.
Bill # SB2742 has been signed into law by the Governor. This law will
become law effective July 1, 2006. THE ALARM COMPANY, along with other member
companies of the Mississippi Alarm Association, have worked for the last
fifteen years to get a law passed in Mississippi. Here are some of the key
points.

Alarm companies who do business in Mississippi must have a physical office in
Mississippi.

Employees must be certified by the National Training School of the National
Burglar and Fire Alarm Association.

Companies must have a valid business license.
-
Companies must have general liability and errors and omissions insurance.
-
Companies must have a valid workers compensation policy.
-
Employees must have background checks and are subject to fingerprint
registration.

Employees must have a valid ID.
You can have peace of mind knowing THE ALARM COMPANY, INC. already meets all of
these requirements. Many of our competitors do not, cannot and will not meet
these requirements.
